Let there be light

And we said ‘Let there be light’ and there was light. We saw that the light was good; and we cut big openings in the walls everywhere we could.

Enlarging the bathroom windows

The living room now opened to the garden.

The living room wall cleared for cutting a new window

It was a hot and dry July –  we were lucky not to have any rain for the three weeks while waiting for the new windows to arrive.

While we were busy in the house, the garden was going about it’s business as usual.

Plump and juicy cherries every day for dessert…
and strawberries for breakfast

raspberries any time

Without a kitchen we lived mainly on fruits and these…

Covrigi …the romanian pretzels. Yum!
